has anyone carried out a research before who can be of help?

long time ago. What sort of help is required. I believe brother Imran Hussain who is research area in Sheffield Uni might be able to offer his guidance

im doing an educational research (qualitative) into teacher-pupil interaction.just wanted a bit of guidance on methodology and data collection.And also how to carry it out as i have never carried out a real research before!

Sis, Not my area really but I don't see what your requirements really are.

What the interviews are about?
Who is to be interviewed?
What sort of analysis will you be doing?
What is the purpose of all this i.e. what are you trying to achieve?

Without all the above info being available it is very difficult to provide help and/or advise.

well,im researching into the educational area of teacher-pupil interactions.i will be testing the hypothesis: 'teachers give more attention to boys'
however, i have already conducted the interviews with children and will be interviewing the their teacher and carrying out observations after easter.
the difficult part seems the data analysis after i have transcribed the interviews.im just not sure how to go about analysing the data gathered.
